The Brades Lodge site employs a Careers Leader to oversee Careers Education within the school and the school has also purchased impartial Information and Guidance through Sandwell Connexions. Through the Black Country Consortium the school has also been allocated an Enterprise Adviser, Mr Adam Harris, who is Operations Director at Atlas Forklift to provide real world links and experience for our pupils. Student Entitlements to Careers Education are set out in a newly updated Careers Policy (copies available in the Careers Department). There is a planned programme of Careers Education providing opportunities to develop and apply the knowledge, understanding and skills necessary to make realistic career decisions. As a pupil at the Brades Lodge you are entitled to the following:
In order to assess the impact Careers is having on pupils the school will be provided with the Destination Reports of pupils which analyses the destination of pupils and the retention rates post 16. The school is also working towards the Quality in Careers Standard to ensure the best outcomes for pupils at Shenstone Lodge School. Message to Parents :
