Outdoor Classroom Day

Thursday 18th May was outdoor classroom day at Shenstone Lodge. The whole day was spent learning outdoors in the beautiful grounds of the school and the woodland. The children had a range of exciting activities that they could take part in which included bouldering, orienteering, identifying the trees in the grounds, a mindfulness session and a Forest Schools tool work session. The children had a really exciting day and they all took part in the activities which were designed to develop social skills, resilience, turn taking and communication, whilst providing physical activities to get their blood pumping. Xavier said it was “A great a day”
