As part of this responsibility our school should describe its SEND offer. This is outlined below :

                                                                School Offer

We are a ‘split site’ school supporting and educating students who experience Social Emotional and Mental Health Difficulties.
Shenstone Lodge is a KS1, KS2 and KS3 provision near Lichfield, Staffs.
It has residential facilities for those children who, it is felt, will benefit from a ‘wrap around curriculum’.
The Brades Lodge is in Tividale, Oldbury and educates students in KS3 and KS4.
The school secured a ‘GOOD’ rating from its latest Ofsted inspection in May 2017.
All students have access to:
  • A curriculum with a strong focus on developing core academic  skills, using a range of interventions to improve reading, writing and maths
  • Support to develop a range of strategies to make more positive behaviour choices
  • Regular assessment and monitoring of progress to ensure learning is secure and under-performance is addressed
  • Opportunities to engage in a variety of off-site and adventurous activities
  • High levels of multi-agency collaboration to support your child’s learning as appropriate
  • Close working relationships with Parents and Carers to support the best interests of the child
  • Enhanced learning opportunities through Pupil Premium Funding as appropriate
Additional Special Educational Need Support
If your child is not making expected progress we will:
  • Meet with Parents and Carers to discuss next steps
  • Identify a suitable academic or behavioural  intervention and measure the impact over a defined period of time
  • Liaise with appropriate professionals (eg. Educational Psychologist, Speech and Language Therapist  etc.)  for further advice and implement suggested plans, as appropriate, against set time limits
Additional Information
Shenstone Lodge & the Brades Lodge offer a range of curriculum enrichment opportunities both during and after school.
